Walton feed update
Interesting info. I just got off the phone with Walton Feed to order. Usually they will send 1 semi truck up our way once a month, this month they need 2 full trucks to handle all the orders and they are still out of space 6 days before the order is to head up here. Usually I can add on a couple things up to a day or so before. So take it for what its worth, but I thought it was interesting.

Re: Walton feed update
I placed a fairly substantial order a little over 4 weeks ago and it still hasn't shipped. I also talked with them today and they said it has been crazy around there lately.
With things going down hill so fast, I'm getting a little nervous. I have some food, but the bulk of my stash is coming from them.:banghead: I seriously considered canceling my order and buying locally, but Rick assured me it will ship soon. He said the only things they were having trouble getting were mushrooms and soy beans. |
Re: Walton feed update
My Mountain House order should hit the US/Canada border tonight or tomorrow. Hopefully it goes through nice and smooth. Either way, I'll be getting some more canned food at the grocery store tonight.
The main mountain house website seems to be out of stock on most things, but the resellers (nitro-pak, etc.) appear to be doing ok, so we're not up to panic mode yet. |
Re: Walton feed update
It comforts me to hear more people are getting prepped. With so little food in the system each family that preps helps the system feed the rest.

The Mountain House Noodles and Chicken was awesome. Tonight it's Rainy Day Foods Stroganoff Casserole.
